This is REALLY good, definitely going to make this again. Only used 1 tomato bc I can't count/read and it ended up at a thick enough texture that I didn't really need to use the corn flour for thickening. An extra good excuse to make this again properly!

Reminds me of my grandma making saag in the village. Where all the womens wpuld gather together and help make a huge batch of Saag with freshly milled makki di atta. Thank you! Definately making it. 💚

Thanks so much for the recipe! It’s delicious. How many corn rotis should this recipe make? I made three, but I think they might have been too thick.

So glad you liked it!! For the size and thickness I showed in the video, you should be able to make 4! It could have been thicker or perhaps your dough balls were a tad larger (which is fine!)

I struggle with new years a lot (the pressure everywhere is just insane) but I really like a word of the year idea! Going to make myself a tea and think of mine now xx

In African American cuisine/ soul food we make collard greens and cornbread on New Years for good luck. I am struck by how similar this meal is to greens and hot water cornbread. There’s something insanely comforting in knowing many miles away across cultures, there’s a classic pairing that joins us. Thanks for sharing 🫶🏽

I made this recipe and it was delicious! I added paneer as well. 😋

This was delicious! Mine was thick enough so I didn’t add the cornmeal slurry. I haven’t nailed the cornmeal roti yet. I used the only cornmeal I have, self rising corn flour. If you have any recs for the roti cornmeal (brand) let me know¨̮

can’t wait to try this!! would it still come to the right texture without a blender?

Hi! Unfortunately without any sort of blending it wouldn’t be the right texture at all even if you were to very finely chop the vegetables
